Our Pacific Story

Hi there! Thanks for taking a peek at our Pacific Story! For those of you who are curious, yes, our last name is “Pacific,” (like the ocean).

My husband Jerry and I met in Los Angeles through a very close friend of mine back in 1999 (Thank you, Maria Canals-Barrera!) we later fell love in Miami at her wedding (how perfect is that!). I was brought up in Mexico and LA, Jerry was raised in New Jersey and lived in Miami for many years which makes for very interesting conversations at our dinner table, lol, we love it! At any rate, Jerry and I moved to a California beach town (affectionately referred to as “The South Bay,”) where our only daughter was born. And we lived happily ever after. (Ha!)

While living in the Southbay, I've spent many years working at a local South Bay spa, but as much as I've enjoyed my work, I kept being drawn to something else. On the side, I sold candles at local shopping parties (thank you hostess), and it didn’t take long for Jerry to notice that I was, well, passionate about candles. He planted the seed for me to consider creating my own Candle Line.

Needless to say, this is exactly what I did. But I didn’t stop with candles! Little did I know that this creative energy would transfer to my seven-year-old daughter! Before I knew it, even Kyra was coming up with design ideas. “The Kyra Collection” is Kyra’s own line of embellished shirts for kids and women. Watching Kyra during this process was a blast.

As all of this was developing, I continued to listen and learn from clients with skincare & health concerns. I already had a love for potions, lotions, skincare and health. So after many months of R&D and collaborative friendships, Pacific Essentials, was born.

On our site, you’ll find an array of essentials that we’ve created as a family; essentials that we’ve discovered we cannot live without. As we evolve, so will our site. In the meantime, be our guest and peruse the collection we’ve assembled here.
